DELVER program unveiled: robotic extraction below 3 km

INORE Inc. today unveiled DELVER, a thermally shielded, self-advancing deep-bore platform designed to mine ore bodies below three kilometres, depths where rock temperature, seismic risk, and ventilation cost make human crews impossible.

DELVER bores, bolts, and samples with no human within the level. Phase-change thermal shielding sustains continuous operation at 85 °C ambient rock; when its communications tether drops, the platform keeps drilling and re-syncs when the mesh returns. Target depth for first deployment: 4.2 km, in 2029.

The program shares its sealed drivetrain lineage with CERES, INORE’s off-Earth extraction concept, every hour DELVER runs underground qualifies hardware for regolith.

“Below three kilometres the mine stops being a workplace and starts being an environment. DELVER treats it that way, sealed, shielded, and unmanned.”
